Cards of the Scaling City
Cards of the Scaling City is a deckbuilder roguelike strategy game made for GMTK Game Jam 2024, with the theme of Built to Scale.
Build a deck of building cards, place them strategically, pick policies to shape your run, and use bonus upgrades to smash the scaling score!
Controls:
- P - Pause
- Left Click - Interact
- Right Click - Cancel Build (if placing a building)

cute! would love to see bigger more polished game of this with a lot more feed back on what things make point wise while placed!
Hey, I had asked about how you got the grid builder to work for this game before. I was looking for a way to message you directly but couldn't find anything. I am running into a couple issues with a similar card to grid building system and was wondering if I could pick your brain about it? I was wondering if you have a discord or another way of messaging back and forth as well so that it wouldn't have to be in the comment section here? Thank you!
Yep, I've got a discord account (EquippedHats). Would be glad to help out, though I'm a little unsure on how direct message stuff works on there.
Would be nice to have pop-up numbers to help confirm I'm making what I think I'm making from each building at the end of the round.
Nice game with lots of potential. A little unpredictable, maybe 20% higher score requirements and more 20% turns per round will help (law of averages to the rescue).
